Last year, my family and I celebrated my tenth birthday, and it was so much fun! It was such an amazing day that I actually wished it could last for years!
When I woke up, I noticed everyone was already awake. I walked into the living room, and BOOM! My family jumped up, wished me a happy birthday, and sang the birthday song! It was such a nice surprise.
They told me that I didn’t have to do anything, and that I could just relax, but of course, I didn’t just sit around and watch TV. I helped blow up balloons, hang them up, and set up the tables. After all the decorations were done, we got dressed up and came back to the party.
We all gathered around, sang more songs, ate delicious food, and sang some more! It was so fun.
Then, we all sat down on the couch for a movie night. We munched on popcorn, ate cake, drank fizzy drinks, had cupcakes, candies, and chips. It was the best! Afterward, we all fell asleep on the couch, still smiling, after the best night ever.
My tenth birthday was amazing, and I sometimes wish I could redo it again!
Last Friday, Room Eight and Room Ten went on a trip to the Auckland Museum, and it was absolutely amazing!
First, we all grouped up and chose one bag from each group to bring, so we didn’t have to carry everything at once. After that, we lined up, hopped onto the bus, and set off. About forty minutes later, we finally arrived and were greeted by a wonderful lady who explained what we were going to do. She told us that Room Eight would go first, and in the meantime, we could explore the museum.
Next, we were so excited to see all sorts of extinct and rare things that we couldn’t stop jumping around like monkeys! Our group leader, who was my friend’s mum, told us that we would start by filling out a paper sheet and then have some fun. Although we were a little annoyed that we couldn’t have fun right away, it actually turned out to be really interesting. We got to see some badges from World War I and II, and we answered questions on the sheet related to the exhibits.
Then we moved on to some amazing displays of extinct animals, along with other incredible items like Rajah the huge elephant, a Marae, ornaments, a Waka, birds, and even rocks from volcanoes. After that, we explored a huge area with a big tree that felt surprisingly soft when we touched it! We spent some time there before heading to the second floor. We took an elevator up and met the lady who guided us through an exhibit about New Zealand’s volcanoes, including one dormant volcano. Once we were done learning about the volcanoes, our group took a break outside to rest our legs and eat some snacks. As we were eating, we noticed this enormous tree and ran over to climb it. After our break, we headed to the earthquake room, where the room shakes and moves up and down. It was a little bit scary but also a lot of fun!
Finally, after exploring a bit more, Room Eight and Room Ten went outside to sit and wait for the bus.
Going to the museum was such an unforgettable experience, and we learned so much while having a great time!
Malo e Lelei everyone! Today for my new blog I had to make a poster about the Auckland Museum, and the reason I had to make a poster was because we’re going to the Auckland Museum, but for my poster I had to make my own Museum. Would you come to my Museum?

How I spent my weekend!
Last week my family and I went to the Local Panmure Fruit Store then we finished our day by having a sleep-over at my aunt’s house, and it was a fantastic weekend.
First, I was startled awake by the sound of my alarm clock. After a pleasant shower and a hearty breakfast, I began my day with a prayer and a rub of my drowsy eyelids. In order to get my siblings ready, I roused them up and reminded them to brush their foul smelling teeth. I went to get my folks dressed and asked if we could all go to the Panmure Fruit Store. And thank goodness they agreed! Because we really wanted to eat some Ice-Cream.
Next, after they told us we would be able to go I was so excited! Especially because we could all spend time together as one big family, and enjoy delicious Ice-Cream!
Then, they told us to wait so they could get ready, so we all sat down and watched TV because we were bored. After they all dressed up, my mom called for us to come take a picture, so we all ran to her, took the picture, and got into the car. When we got there, my dad excitedly said, “Let’s go eat some ice-cream!” So we all got out of the car and hurried into the Fruit Shop, where he asked, “What ice-cream flavours do you guys want?” We selected our favourite flavours and began to eat it my Ice Cream was so good itThen, once we finished all our Ice-cream we were told that we were going to go to our auntie’s house and we were so excited because our auntie always gives us sweets and different kinds of Tongan candy, but because she lives far away we had to go tomorrow because we had a very long day.
Finally, at last, we all awoke, said our prayers, and put on our clothes, because we had to go to our aunt’s house. After that, we got into the car and drove to her house, where we instantly raced up to give her a hug when we saw her drinking tea outside on her porch. She almost fell after the big hug we gave her. After giving her a hug, she invited us all inside for food and treats, and we spent the last part of the day sleeping in her house!
Despite the fact that my weekend was both exciting and occasionally boring, I still appreciated that our aunt brought us some candy! It was very delicious!

Talofa Lava everyone! Today for my blog I made a poster about a Harakeke, and here’s how I did it! First, I found a picture of a Harakeke and added it to my Google drawings. Next, I used polyline to draw my soil and my grass. Then, I did my background and added the Harakeke. Finally, I added the names of the Harakeke, then I added some people, and I finally finished! Thank you everyone for reading my blog post, and maybe I might see your poster of a Harakeke!
